A : All rooms include the following: TV, including Satellite and Cable broadcasts,; telephone; hot water pot; green tea and cups; refrigerator; hair dryer; electric lamp; Shower Toilet; and complete humidifying and air purifying facilities.

A : The following are provided for each guest: shampoo and rinse; toothbrush and toothpaste; shaving razor; shower cap; cotton swabs; comb; hand towel and bath towel; yukata (sleepwear); slippers.

A : The hotel includes a yakiniku restaurant; a pub; a fast-food shop; a cafe; vending machines (6F); a bookstore; a pool and fitness club (closed on Mondays); a dry cleaning service (not available on Sundays); a fax machine (sending fee); a massage service; a package delivery service; and wake-up calls.

Q : Do the guest rooms include a mini bar?

A : There is no mini bar. However, there is a convenience store open 24 hours just one minute’s walk from the hotel, and you can use the refrigerator in your room. (There are also vending machines on the 6th floor.)

Q : What kind of items can be borrowed?

A : We can lend you, at no charge, a trouser press; an iron; a humidifier; a wine corkscrew.

Q : What is the parking fee for hotel guests?

A : The charge for parking in the hotel is 260 yen for 30 minutes. However, for those staying at the hotel, overnight parking is 1500 yen from check-in until 12:00 PM the next day, and outside of this period, the charge is 200 yen for 30 minutes. If you have arranged for overnight parking, you will receive a ticket which will allow you to leave and return to the parking garage as often as you like during this period.

Q : Is there a fee for cancelling one’s reservation?

A : If you cancel on the day of your reservation, you must pay 80% of the room rate.

Q : Where and at what time is the breakfast service?

A : At the cafe Le Van, on the 2nd floor of the Rhino Hotel Kyoto, a buffet-style breakfast is served, at a cost of 1,260 yen. Other possibilities include the fast-food shop, Mos Burger, open at 7:00 AM, on the 1st floor of the Rhino Hotel Kyoto, or various restaurants in the area; please feel free to ask at the Front Desk.

Q : What days and times can the hotel’s pool be used?

A : The pool is open at the following times
Tuesday ~ Friday: 10:00 AM ~ 11:00 PM
Saturday: 10:00 AM ~ 9:00 PM
Sundays/Holidays: 10:00 AM ~ 7:00 PM
Closed: Mondays, end-of-the-year and New Year holidays, and at certain other times for repairs and cleaning.
Entrance to the pool is closed 30 minutes before the pool facility closes.
Use is restricted to those 16 years of age and older.
Guests with tatoos can not use the fitness club.

Q : What is the fee for using the pool?

A : For staying guests, admission to the pool/fitness club is 1,000 yen per person, per use. If you show your room key at the Fitness Club reception desk, the charge can be put on your hotel bill.

Q : What if I would like to request a non-smoking room?

A : We have a limited number of designated non-smoking rooms available, and you may request one at the time of your reservation. However, we cannot guarantee that one will be available for your period of stay; in this case we ask that you allow us to give you a smoking room that has been deodorized

Q : Can I have a newspaper delivered to my room?

A : You may buy one at the front desk or at various places near the hotel. If you request it, one can be delivered to your room; there is a charge for this.


Q : I will not be able to check in until late. Until what time may guests check in?

A : The Rhino Hotel Kyoto allows check-in 24 hours a day. However, if you will be arriving later than about 10:00 PM, please let the hotel know either at the time of reservation, or sometime before your arrival. If the hotel has received no word from you by about 10 :00 PM your reservation may be automatically cancelled.

Q : About how long does it take to reach JR Kyoto Station from the hotel, and about how much does it cost?
