Kitano Tenmangu Shrine

Kitano Tenmangu Shrine is the head shrine of about 12,000 tenmangu shrines nationwide that enshrines Sugawara no Michizane, the god of learning. It is said to bring benefits for academic achievement and warding off evil and it is a famous spot for plum blossoms and autumn leaves.
Ninnaji Temple

A famous cherry blossom viewing spot that represents Kyoto. You can enjoy the cherry blossoms that beautifully color the precincts, such as weeping cherry trees and someiyoshino cherry trees. The precincts are lined with buildings from the Edo period, such as the five-storied pagoda and Niomon gate and they are registered as World of Heritage.
